• Cosmos – Very simple to grow, the Cosmo is a flower that is fun to plant with the whole family. While they are not super-hardy, they come up so easily that it’s easy to over plant!
• Daffodils – How many of us have fond memories of daffodil or jonquil flowers coming up every spring? These flowers are nearly impossible to kill and are excellent for planting by the bushel to have flowers to harvest and bring inside.
• Chives – You may think of chives as simply an herb or a boring plant. This is far from the truth. They are easy to grow, are hardy, and bloom in an abundance of colors.
• Mint – While not the most beautiful plant in the bunch, it is attractive. Mint grows like a weed and has a delicious scent. Add mint as a filler and you’ll never worry about the plants getting squished or over picked by your children.
